- כְּזַז (v. P. Sm. 1691 s. v. כוז), (to shrink, to be shy, bashful. Part. כָּזִיז. Pes.72b כ׳ מינה Ar. a. Ms. O. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note, ed. בזיז) he is reserved towards her (not yet intimate). Yeb.26a דכ׳ בניה מיניה Ar. (ed. דב׳) before him his son is shy. Ib. 112a top מִיכְזַז כ׳ מינה Ar. (ed. מיב׳ ב׳), opp. גיס, v. גִּיס I. Nidd.15b ילדה דכְזִיזָא למיטבל (ed. דב׳) a young woman who is ashamed to go to the bath-house.
